Bashing by trainboi Bashing by trainboi
A P10 Pacific.
On a side note, this is being bashed from P7 drawings and when finished, the tender will be bashed into a tender for the S2.

How did you create the effect under the funnel? It looks fantastic.

Airbrush in Gimp. I figured out that it sort of works, but could only get it down right on the smokebox. In every shot of a steamable loco with a light colored smokebox that isn't 2472, there's a thick coat of soot, even if the rest of the engine is squeaky clean, so when I couldn't get the smokebox to look right I turned to this. It really does make the engine.

Alright thanks. Do you have any tips for creating grease? I would like to make parts of a side-rod greasy where it connects to a bolt from the wheel.

Can't help you there, I'm not a very good weatherer.

*this user would love to post a comment, but is too busy multi-tasking between drooling unstoppably and dancing a happy jig*

seriously trainboi, you know you're like, my hero, right?  First US Plywood 11 (Which I drove the wheels off over thanksgiving break, BTW...sadly I didn't get the chance to upload any of the pics I took Because I ended up having to go back a day early) now a skyliner P-10!!! SO many engines getting crossed off my "Want DESPERATELY in Trainz" list lately because of you.

Keep on rockin my friend!

Oh, not just skyline. I have it in as-built and 'Baby GS-4' versions. I'll probably be switching out between versions as progress continues, just to give variety. Glad to hear you liked USP #11 too, the wait certainly resulted in higher quality.:)
